Implement a bar that displays the status when uploading files: attachments, templates and images.

Use one of the following tools:

  • http://bluga.net/projects/uploadProgressMeter/ (demo: http://php5.bluga.net/UploadProgressMeter/demo.php) The only requirement is to have HTML AJAX 0.2..5+ installed on the server.
  • http://pear.php.net/package/HTML_Progress/docs and the new 2.0 version is here: http://pear.php.net/package/HTML_Progress2/docs and for 2.0 the online documentation: http://www.laurent-laville.org/pear/HTML_Progress2/docs/API/

Yahoo User Interface which is going to be part of 3.2 already includes this feature, so it would be the way to go for this.
