- 6.2.1. How to remotely upgrade a Red Hat 9 server to a Fedora Core server
The following is a possible session, which would install Campsite on your remote host. All text in square brackets is comment only, not to be typed.
yourserver# wget https://www.campware.org/look/campware/download/campsite-latest.tar.gz
yourserver# tar -xzf campsite-latest.tar.gz

yourserver# updatedb [if you haven't generated the database for locating yet]
[Check if mysql and httpd are running:]
yourserver# ps -A | grep mysql [this should return some lines with pid numbers for the mysqld. If not, start mysql manually]
yourserver# ps -A | grep httpd [this should return some lines with pid numbers for the httpd. If not, start httpd manually (see above)]
yourserver# exit
yourserver# cd campsite
yourserver# ./install

IMPORTANT!!!
The apache virtual host configuration file:
/usr/local/campsite/etc/campsite/campsite-vhost.conf
was created.
Please edit it and replace $SERVER_ADDRESS and $SERVER_NAME with
appropriate values.
Please configure apache server before using Campsite application; make sure
the crond daemon is running; read INSTALL file and follow the instructions.
To enter the Campsite administration site start a browser and type in the
following URL: http://[$SERVER_NAME]/admin/.
Fill in "admin" and "admn00" user and password respectivelly to log in.
You should change the password as soon as possible.
