If you go to subscribers, leave the search form blank and select only active subscribers, admin interface displays multiple records for each active subscriber.

In my opinion the problem is in select, that uses table subscribers joined with subscriptions, which returns one row for each subscribed section. I did not check it, but in that case grouping this select by subscriber would be nice.
