The article types can be changed without harming the articles AND they can (not must) be separate for each publication.

Reason: If you develop the site over some time, you need to adjust the article types for new formats etc. Currently there is no chance to ever get rid off some old article type without deleting the article (because the type is needed for the fields). You can not delete a field from the article type either. At the end you have (in our case) over 20 article types to accommodate all the formats and changes over time.

SOLUTION: The fields from the article type are not directly linked with the database. Somehow it should be possible to add fields, rename fields, rename article types, merge article types. Or a simpler solution: Allow for hiding of old article types.
