In any case, list of sample rates should be fixed (32,44,48). I would like to see the same sample rates in whole playlist (they shouldn't change). Because in practice, the problem occurs when the sample rates in playlist are different and not coordinated, then they determin the playback speed.

aren't sample rates auto-detected anyway?

Because the description does not define target, what is to do in htmlUI?

what do you mean by it does not define target? :)
for clearing up: sample rate is the number of samples per second for the audio files, like 44.1kHz, 22.05kHz, etc. this can not be changed for any audio file (unless the audio file es re-sampled to a different samplerate)
therefore I don't really see why and how would the user enter this data, as it should be detected from the audio file itself...
or it can't be detected?
(or we're talking not about samplerate, but bitrate of a file, say a 192kb/s mp3 file?)

Thanks, I did not seen Dougs´first comment. For the equality in playlists, please open antoher ticket.
Yes, sample rate will detected on upload. It is taken from raw data, not ID3, so it should be defined everytime. Now the input field is disabled, so it cannot changed. I can change to select menu if we have a list of all samplerates which exists, but it seems they are not fixed: "MF supports audio sample rates from 8KHz to 48KHz. Note that cross-platform version of JMF only supports the following rates: 8, 11.025, 11.127, 16, 22.05, 22.254, 32, 44.1, and 48 KHz."
Sample rates should be set at the time the file is created by the ripping or audio editing package, so I can't think of a reason why someone would want to edit them after-the-fact.
