Description by maroy:

make sure LiveSupport can be installed as a non-monolythic package on debian / ubuntu systems. this involves creating / updating some stock packages, as well as creating patched packages of existing libraries used by LiveSupport.

stock packages needed:

boost >= 1.31
curl >= 7.12.3
gtk+ >= 2.6.1 (with atk >= 1.9.0, glib >= 2.6.1, pango >= 1.8.0, tiff >=
3.7.1)
gtkmm >= 2.5.5 (with glibmm >= 2.5.4, libsigc++ >= 2.0.6)
icu >= 3.0
libxml++ >= 2.8.1
some PEAR components
