Description by douglas:
For older browsers and mobile devices, a simplified version of the HTML UI should be developed. Such a UI would lack many of the user-friendly features common in the current HTML UI, but would provide for greater compatibility. Features such as context-sensitive menus and drag-and-drop playlists may need to be reworked, but the functionality gained by users being able to access the HTML UI via mobile devices alone would be very useful.
In a perfect world, the server would sniff for browser type, then either present the modern UI or the simplified one.
