Just tried the Knoppix live CD on 4 different machines. Every one of them: "authentication server not available" if I click on the LiveSupport Studio icon. If I try from Firefox: "The connection was refused when attempting to contact Localhost." This from ls-knoppix v.1.0.2 released December 8, 2005.
