Need method to change used playlength of an playlist element (audioclip, webstream, maybee embeddet playlist).
(like in #1226, but to change an already added element)

It's IMHO playlist issue - playlistElement's relativeOffset and playlength of audioClip tag could do it.

Yes, I agree -- let's make the playlength of the Playlist always equal to the sum of the playlengths of its components.
In this case, for web streams and for smart playlists, we need to allow the playlength of an AudioClip? to be shorter (or longer, too?) than its physical length, and Gstreamer should respect this.
Question: what's the best way to implement this in SMIL?
