Description by douglas:
Similar to desktop publishing programs' "Collect for output," the playlist/file export feature would enable users to select a playlist and export its component files (both embedded playlists and binary audio files). The user would have the ability to either write the files in compressed or uncompressed formats, or could burn the playlist to an audio CD. Conversely, the "import playlist and files" feature would allow users to select a playlist file, and the software would search for its component audio files in a manner similar to how audio players parse M3U files. If the audio files are included with the playlist, the files are automatically imported. If they are not included, a file browser prompt allows users to set their location.
