Description by douglas:
When outputting a LiveSupport playlist as a stream, the metadata should also be sent for display in streaming media players. This data should likely be limited to the info we display in the main window: Program name, Title, Artist, Duration.

Yes, definitely the same info as given by other streaming radio stations would be good to have.

As I understand it from storageServer's point of view: there should be a XML-RPC method returning basic metadata for audioclip, webstream or playlist - estimate: ~ 6 hours This issue should have support in other components too.

No, I think what Doug wants is to encode this metadata into the stream when we send the audio output to a web stream instead of a sound card. We don't do that yet.
Is'nt it nice to have the same information also available within a frame for the main website of a radio station like; now and next playing.
